Place of event: Athens
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays are the most important days, people mourn the Christ, and Friday is the holiest day, no work is allowed, not even for cooking. On Saturday at midnight, it's the symbolic change of the day and the resurrection of Christ. People have their first meal, a soup called "magiritsa". Sunday is the day dedicated to eating! Since early morning people are up to grill the whole lamb or sheep, and have a contest of breaking red painted eggs, symbolizing the victory of life over death.

Meet your local connection in Athens, Greece, Charles Berthault and the team of Opta Travel. We are very enthusiastic about joining the whl.travel family- we love the sincerity of the network and the promotion of responsible tourism throughout the world. There are many areas in Greece that are still unknown and explored and we are working to develop agro-tourism while also creating opportunities for trekking in the wild and beautiful areas of the islands and the Greek mountains.
