Megaron Hall Music

Traditional Greek Dances Dora Stratou

Place: Athens (6 May 2012 - 22 Sep 2012)

Founded in 1953, by Dora Stratou, a personality of the mid-20th century who promoted through dances the history, culture and songs of Greece. More than 2000 traditional costumes are presented during these dances with a group of dancers (25 women and 25 men).


Music Day

The Celebration of Music started in 2000 in Greece, and is now held every year on the Solstice, the longest day of the year.

Athens Full Moon August

August is the hottest month in Greece with the temperature reaching 40 degrees Celsius and above, and is often avoided by the tourists. But there is a good reason to stay and go out the night of full moon, visit all monuments and sites that are open and free.


Night of the Full Moon

Green Design Festival

Acropolis Museum

The Acropolis Museum has taken a completely refreshing aspect to revive history and the culture of the Western civilization. After decades, the Greek Archaeological ministry has chosen the best architects to build and present the new Acropolis museum situated in parallel lines and architecture to his sister the Acropolis site.


Athens Marathon

For athletes or admirers over 18 years old, the 42 Km (26.2 miles) Marathon of Athens is one of the most famous in the world taking place in November. There are also easier races for 10 Km and 5 Km.


Athens Photo Festival

Every year, and for the last 20 years, the "International Photography Month" is exhibiting photos of Art.


Christmas feast

Athens French Festival

Every year the French cinema is celbrating its movies by sharing it to the public of Athenians, and French residents.


Athens Carnival

Place: Athens (4 Feb 2013 - 14 Feb 2013)

The Athens Carnival starts 60 days before Easte,  always on the Thursday of "Tsiknopepti" when all Greeks are eating meat and lamb. It finishes on "Clean Monday" 40 days before Easter Holy week, during wich some Orthodox Christians are fasting.


Athens Holy Week

Place: Athens (28 Mar 2013 - 30 Apr 2013)

Easter in Greece is the most important holiday for all Greeks. Greece is home to 95% of Orthodox Christians, and almost everyone feels concerned about it. Every year the date changes due to Gregorian calendar, but it starts the day of Christ's triumphal entry in Jerusalem and finishes 7 days after with his resurrection. The atmosphere during this week in Greece and Athens is much more different from other times during the year.
